First complete edition, edited by Henry Bangert (with the support of the Lübeck council), of Helmold's important chronicle to 1171, and continuing to 1209 by Arnold von Lübeck on the Christianization of the east of the lower Elbe Slavs living. The philologist and historian Henry Bangert (1610-1665) contributed a comment. Shows "for the beginnings of the eastern German town the work is a source, as we not possess otherwise in this clarity." (NDB) .- The copper plate show the god and goddesses Prono, Ridegast and Siwa.
